KANTO GAKUIN NEWS No.42 17関東学院各校NEWS日本大震災後も休園なく預かり保育「ロバの子クラブ」を行い、4月1日からは新入園児も加わり新年度がスタート。預かり保育利用児と利用していない園児とでは、園に慣れるまでの違いが見られました。子どもたちには地震の恐怖と親と離れることが重なってしまったのでしょう。預かり保育中に起こった地震でしたので、最後のお迎えまで先生達が一緒にすごした園児には、少しそれが緩かったようです。不安や悲しみを抱えているそのままでいいのよと、子どもを丸ごと受け止めることをいつも以上に心がけました。 アメリカの心理学者マズローは、セルフエスティーム(自尊心)を高めるために何よりも大切なことは安心感であると言っています。人間は自分を無条件に全てを受け止めてほしいという欲求を持っており、その応えが愛です。 神様が創られた私達は個々貴い存在ですが、集団になれば力関係・もめ事・思いの食い違いが生じるのは当たり前です。「心の教育」は思いや意見の違いをどのように表現し、お互い解決していくかの実践的積み重ねとなります。野庭幼稚園主事 小髙 千恵東[Mutsuura Kindergarten]Children’s WorkshopOn June 17, kindergarten children in the 5-year-old class went to Yokohama Museum of Art to join the “Children’s Workshop.” After arriving at the museum, the children began to paint. Using fluorescent paints, they painted dots, lines, and various patterns and shapes on cardboard. They also created their own colors by combing four different colors. Through this wonderful experience at the museum, the children learned to concentrate better and they also experienced satisfaction from their efforts at the workshop.[Noba Kindergarten]Sense of Security Obtained from Diverse Meetings and ExperiencesRoba-no-ko Club (Donkey Ponies’ Club), an independent child care center that is incorporated in the kindergarten, has continued to provide services after the Great East Japan Earthquake without closing for even one day. On April 1, the new academic year started with new children in attendance. There was an obvious difference among the children who had used the services of the club and those who had not prior to entering the kindergarten. The kindergarten has taken care and paid more attention than usual in accepting the children as they are and in loving each and every child in hopes that they are able to overcome their fears of their new educational and daycare environment. Education of the heart is the practice of expressing and resolving differences in thoughts and views between one another, and that is exactly what is occurring at Noba Kindergarten.にその色で描いて、足りなくなると新たに作っていました。また、お弁当の後の『影取り遊び』という活動は光と影の不思議な面白さ(影が残る)が経験できました。 アトリエという特別な空間の中で普段味わえない豊かで貴重な体験をし、集中力や満足感を得た子どもたち。それを今後は、園の活動にも活かしていきたいと思います。子どものアトリエ(横浜美術館)活動六浦幼稚園教諭 浅野 小百合月17日、年長組の子どもたちは横浜美術館『子どものアトリエ』に行きました。小雨が降る中、バスに乗り込み横浜美術館に出発。「アトリエって何する所?」「楽しみだなぁ」と初めて行く場所にワクワク・ドキドキしていました。到着すると、アトリエの先生から「今日は、ただ遊ぶために来たのではなくいっぱい試したり、実験したりしてね。」というお話を聞き、絵の具の活動をしました。初めは、蛍光絵の具を使って、色々な形の段ボールに点・線・色塗りをしていきました。子どもたちは、教えて頂いた筆の扱い方や描き方など幾つかのポイントを意識して思い思いに描き、描いた紙は別の部屋に丸くなるように並べました。そして、その周りに集まって座り部屋を暗くして、アトリエの先生がおしえてくれた「魔法の言葉」を唱えると…蛍光絵の具が鮮やかに光りました。「綺麗!」「すごい!」とその輝きと不思議さに子どもたちは大感激でした。次に、赤・青・黄・白の4色の絵の具で自分だけの色を作りました。「こんな色、初めて見た!」と偶然出来た色に感激!床一面の大きな紙6 4月から満1歳児の乳児も一緒に過ごすようになりました。子どもは言葉に頼らないコミュニケーション能力を持っているようで、すっと溶け込んでいきます。大きな園児達はこのベイビー達が無条件に可愛がられている様子を、あたかも自分がそうされているかのように、微笑んで見ています。先生から「みんなも、小さい時きっとこうだったね」と声をかけられ、心地よさを感じているのでしょう。傍に行ってそっとベイビーをなでてみたり、「せんせい!こんなことしてくる、僕のことが好きだから…」と嬉しそうです。育ち合う関係は愛によって穏やかに広がっていくものです。多様な出会い・体験から得る安心感
